Lord, give me a good digestion and also something to digest.
Give me health of body and good humor needed to keep it.
Give me, O Lord, a simple soul who knows how to treasure
of all that is good
and do not be alarmed at the sight of evil
but always finds a way
to put things right.
Give me a soul that knows no boredom,
the grumbling, the sighs, the moans
and do not let me troubles too
too bulky for that thing called "I".
Give me, O Lord, the sense of humor.
Grant me the grace to understand a joke
to discover in life a little 'joy
and be part of it to others.
