Ow To Mount Wedding Cake

The Cyclamen

Ecco a voi i Ciclamini, piante bellissime che colorano i balconi anche durante l’inverno. Cyclamen è il nome generico di queste piante, deriva dalla parola greca “kyklós”, ovvero “cerchio”, forse per il ripiegamento circolare assumes that the flower stalk after the withering of the flower, but also [and perhaps more likely] to the circular shape of the large tuber.

The Cyclamen are tuberous herbaceous plants from the family of Primulaceae, the Primrose and close relatives do not forget me. They are usually grown throughout the temperate zone, but there are also some wild species in our flora, such as C. hederifolium and C. repandum, which can be observed mainly in the undergrowth. They bloom in late spring and those grown resistant to almost all winter, not at all suffering from the cold.

Cyclamen I have always been considered strong amulets: according to Pliny the Elder were protectors of houses but also antidote against the bite Theophrastus of snakes and gives them great aphrodisiac, perhaps because of the shape of the flower that vaguely resembles the female uterus.

cyclamen flowers are among the favorite of my mother and then today I propose to them the cake I made for her birthday: rustic chocolate cake and almonds.
